KEMETIC MINDS — BREAKING NEWS
September 06, 2026
Iran said Sunday it struck an unmanned U.S. vessel in the Strait of Hormuz, a claim the U.S. military dismissed as a “total lie” [1].
Key Facts
- Iran said Sunday it struck an unmanned U.S. vessel [1].
- The disputed incident was reported in the Strait of Hormuz [1].
- The U.S. military rejected the Iranian account, calling it a “total lie” [1].
- The report was published by Global News on Sunday, Sept. 6, 2026 [1].
Two Accounts, One Incident
The Iranian and U.S. statements conflict over what happened in the strait. Global News reports Iran’s version as saying it struck an unmanned U.S. vessel; the U.S. military says that version is false [1].
No U.S. or Iranian officials are named in the available text, and no details are given about the unmanned vessel’s purpose, the method of the alleged strike, or whether any damage occurred [1].
What’s Still Unconfirmed
Whether any U.S. vessel was actually struck remains unconfirmed [1]. The published report contains no independent verification of either side’s account, and the U.S. military does not say in the available text what it believes actually happened in the Strait of Hormuz [1].
