Pete Hegseth warns Iran will ‘never’ get nuclear bomb, touts Hormuz blockade

US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth warned Iran that US President Donald Trump remains determined to prevent it from acquiring nuclear weapons, cautioning that Tehran must choose between relinquishing its nuclear ambitions and facing further American action. Speaking to reporters on Saturday, Hegseth also declined to confirm whether the United States intends to deploy a third aircraft carrier to the region, saying his responsibility is to ensure that Trump retains the widest possible range of military options.[1]

Separately, ua.news reported:

Strikes on two tankers near Oman and in the Strait of Hormuz reported — CNBC

The British maritime security service United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations reported that over the weekend it received information about at least two tankers that were struck in waters near Oman and Iran. On Saturday, the service received a report that an oil tanker had been hit by an unknown projectile four nautical miles east of Oman.[2]

Elsewhere, Al Jazeera added:

Saudi-led coalition dismisses ‘misleading’ Houthi claim of Riyadh attack

The Saudi-led coalition spokesman says the Yemeni armed group is ‘attempting to divert attention’ from its losses. Saudi-backed Yemeni army says 700 Houthis killed in 24 hours The Houthis’ claims that the Iran-allied armed group has targeted Saudi Arabia’s capital Riyadh are “misleading”, according to the Saudi-led coalition supporting Yemen’s internationally recognised government.[3]

The FlyDubai stabbing is contributing to concerns that Iran could increase covert and deniable attacks as the conflict with the United States and Israel drags on. British Prime Minister Andy Burnham, meanwhile, said there are “strong indications” Iran played a role in a suspected terror plot near RAF Fairford, the British air base used by U.S. forces during operations against Iran.[4]
