Multiple Trade Routes Help Iran Evade Sanctions
To break the stalemate in its war with Iran, the administration of United States President Donald Trump is now trying to make Iran an international economic outcast with a new regime of sanctions. Iran has survived economic, military and diplomatic pressure from the U.S. and its allies since the 1979 Iranian revolution, albeit at great cost to its people.[1]
Separately, Al Jazeera reported:
US-Iran talks in New York: What’s the latest?
Both sides remain interested in a diplomatic settlement but differ on how to achieve one. Indirect talks between the United States and Iran aimed at ending the seven-month-long war continue – most recently via Qatar as mediator on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York – but the two sides still disagree about the agenda.[2]
Elsewhere, Al Jazeera added:
‘Nothing is justifying this’: Qatar’s PM slams Israel’s atrocities in Gaza
Qatar’s top diplomat says Israel has undermined Doha’s efforts to broker a ceasefire in Gaza from ‘day one’. Qatar’s Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani has condemned Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza, saying whoever is responsible for the devastation in the besieged Palestinian territory is a “war criminal”.[3]

Qatar PM says US gave warning before Iran strikes, calls Netanyahu ‘war criminal’
Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani launched a scathing attack on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, calling him a “war criminal” and alleging that war crimes and genocide are being committed in Gaza. Responding to Netanyahu’s speech at the United Nations, in which he accused Qatar of funding universities and media organizations, the prime minister said Netanyahu trying to “gaslight the public” and projecting his own actions onto Qatar in an effort to influence the U.S. administration.[4]

Exclusive: Iran Denies Involvement in Attack on Saudi Oil Pipeline
Gulf and Iraqi officials told MBN this week that Iran has sent messages to Saudi Arabia denying responsibility for an attack earlier this month on the kingdom’s East-West oil pipeline, while suggesting Iraqi Shiite factions were behind the strike. These messages, the officials involved said, included an offer to help Riyadh identify those responsible for the Sept. 10 attack on a 750-mile oil route, vital for Saudi crude to reach the Red Sea amid ongoing disruptions around the Strait of Hormuz.[5]
