How to read this tracker
The source scan follows WHO Disease Outbreak News, ECDC updates, and CDC travel notices, alongside news feeds. A general travel notice alone does not establish an outbreak in a named place. Reports without a recent event-specific agency source are held out of the chart.
The impact watch level is an editorial index: disease severity plus case, death, or spread cues in the official event report. A suspected diagnosis is capped and labelled. It does not measure infections, forecast spread, or replace agency risk assessments. Jev scores the urgency of each incoming news item on a 1–3 scale. A missing Jev verdict is shown as pending; Jev never decides whether a diagnosis is true. This feed is not an exhaustive census of every outbreak worldwide.
